Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by.  I am glad you are here!

I started this blog as a way to share all of the great things I discover while working with my clients.

I don’t have a degree in design, so technically I am a decorator.  I have learned on the job, and I hope the information I share here can help you learn, too! I have a studio art degree and a business degree – both have helped me in so many ways.

I love an old fashioned southern garden filled with gardenias, hydrangeas, boxwoods and of course, camellias.  My favorite are the double pinks.

  1. Hi Kristin! I just found your blog – it’s fantastic! I’m enjoying all the pictures and spending way too much time here! Your post of Oct 20 mentions dove white as one of your favourite paints. Our main living areas are Natural linen, and the bathrooms and bedrooms are Revere Pewter. Our floors are natural mahogany hardwood. Our trim is Cloud white. Our kitchen and bathroom cabinets are pure white, and I want to slipcover our sofas in pure white linen. In your experience, Do you think that Dove White would work for us? Thanks!

    1. Gosh, Sandy, thank you for the complement! I really enjoy design and writing about it! I think about it all the time, as I am sure you do too!

I have to say, I am totally biased towards White Dove. It is a gorgeous white that is grayed down a bit – for me, it is a neutral.

    2. Sandy, I just re-read your comment, and I want to make a note – there is a paint color Dove White and one called White Dove. They are often mixed up. The one I am talking about is Benjamin Moore White Dove OC-17.
